Hey beauties spring is in the air! For me that means floral blooms, and prints of all sorts. I love prints, so when I came across this fab print in Ann Taylor while doing #WardrobeHustle for work I was quite intrigued! Not only do I love prints, but I love the pajama look trend and while the top to this ensemble doesn't really reflect that, the pants sure do. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical in how I would style these pieces and give it some sass and pop and to make it not so classic looking (or like an old lady outfit as my Hubs calls it). I thought, those adorable little Kate Spade glitter mules I had picked up at Bloomies! Hence mixing this floral print blouse and the matching pants, with glitter and pom pom was a no brainer! As mentioned, I love the pajama trend and this particular set didn't look 'too' much like a pair of actual pjs as some I've seen. By wearing the two pieces as a set, the pairing totally creates the feel of the very cool sleepwear trend. Although the print is so bold, I still went for some bling with my necklace and a gold hoop opposed to really quiet jewelry. Like I said, I was trying to do my thing, and give the look some sass and pop! My fab vintage Emma Hope ostrich feather purse in a pop of green and my gold Miu Miu sunnies, complete my look creating this fiercely chic outfit and did just what I wanted it to do! These were the perfect elements to take pieces considered fairly classic and make them cool and chic, in true #SybilStreetSTYLe
I called this post, my date with Ann & Kate - Ann Taylor and Kate Spade that is! So I started shooting in MD at the National Harbor and actually grabbed some lunch at Belvedere Lobby Bar within the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Then headed to the mall area in downtown D.C. at the Jefferson Memorial. It was a chic, great date, if I do say so myself!
